  3. Get rid of the Windows Lock Screen!

Apart from the Windows Lock Screen being very nice to look at, it serves no purpose and adds a barrier to you logging in.

If you’d like to get straight the logon screen and avoid the Lock Screen altogether, here’s how.

  1. Open the windows registry editor (regedit.exe) and
  2. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization (create the Key if it doesn’t exist).
  3. Now create a DWORD (32-bit) value and name it “NoLockScreen” and give it a value of “1.”
  4. When you next start your computer, the Lock Screen should be no more!
